#thenewscompany : Organizers of the 2017 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2017) report numerous indications that the upcoming event will be at least as large and dynamic, and perhaps more so, than previous editions of the show.
Taking place April 11-13 in Shanghai, China, ABACE2017 is on pace to feature an impressive number of exhibits, aircraft on static display and chalets, at host facility Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre at Shanghai’s Hongqiao International Airport.
“Our exhibitor commitments are considerably ahead of pace compared with last year’s ABACE, which marked the largest-ever show footprint for the event,” said Chris Strong, NBAA senior vice president of conventions and membership. “It is possible that we will sell out all available show space.”
Strong noted that many of these confirmed exhibitors are based in the Asia-Pacific region. Last year, 40 percent of the 165 exhibiting companies were based in the region, with the show attracting attendees from more than 50 countries, across Asia and beyond.
“We’re also extremely pleased that several exhibitors – including regional and international aviation service providers, aircraft manufacturers and charter companies – have chosen to expand their presence at ABACE, which demonstrates the event’s growing significance throughout the global business aviation community,” Strong added.
Continuing the tradition at past ABACE events, ABACE2017 also will offer education sessions, including those focused on operational best practices, market updates, international operation and helicopter operations.
Prospective buyers from across the region will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from aviation financiers, service providers, legal specialists and more, to discuss all aspects of business aviation operations and learn more about how use of a business aircraft will benefit their companies.
