#thenewscompany : Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said that the government has taken the initiative to launch ‘Integrated Lawful Interception System (ILIS)’ to keep an eye on social media contents and thwart various anti-state and anti-government activities.
The home minister said this in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) while replying to a query of Awami League lawmaker from Dhaka-10 constituency Shafiul Islam during the question and answer session.
“Modern technology like Open Source Intelligence Technology (OSINT) has been added in the National Tele-communication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) under the home ministry to thwart anti-state and anti-government activities through monitoring social media,” he said.
Simultaneously, an initiative has been taken to launch an integrated launch ‘Integrated Lawful Interception System (ILIS)’ for legally intercepting communication through mobile phone and internet, he added.
