e-News® | The NEWS Company…Dhaka, Jan 22, 2015 : It’s odd, but amidst the deluge of Samsung Galaxy S6-centric reports hanging about today’s mobile décor, no official announcement date managed to slip through. Not yet, that is, and not a precise one, as a ballpark has been easy to guess for a while now.
Interestingly enough, Sammy isn’t looking to win any early bird MWC attendee war against HTC, with the S6 allegedly slated to break cover the very next day after One M9’s introduction. Yes, that’s March 2, i.e. the formal opener of the 2015 Mobile World Congress. Chances are the so-called HTC “Hima” will be quite the tough act to follow, yet in all honesty, a Monday feels a much more suitable day for a product unveil than a Sunday. Point Samsung? It really is too soon to tell, as several puzzles regarding both the M9 and Galaxy S6 are in need of many a fitting piece.
There’s the Snapdragon 810 delay mystery, the 3 or 4 GB RAM dilemmas, all the questions about cameras and megapixels and whatnot, plus the whole full-metal vs metal-on-glass S6 construction debate. It’s also worth pointing out the March 2 date isn’t etched in stone until formal press invitations are dispatched. For now, we have just the word of a (semi-reliable) Korean newspaper that confusingly suggests Samsung will be picking between a traditional and edged screen layout for the GS6 instead of rolling both variants out.
Otherwise put, if this was opera, the fat lady would still be backstage warming up her voice.
