Barisal Burners got a triumph over Sylhet Royals in the first ever match for both the teams and BPL respectively.
Chris Gayle who remarkably known as Caribbean Monster demonstrated a mesmerizing innings of 101(unbeaten) off 44 balls(6’s 10 & 4’s 7). Ahmed Shehzad a young star of Pakistan responded quite well with Gayle scoring 56(unbeaten) off 35 balls(6’s 1 & 4’s 9). This resulted from a tremendous success for Barisal within only 13.1 overs remaining 10 wickets in hand.
Before that Sylhet Royals scored 165 runs off 6 wickets. Sylhet Royals lost their 1st wicket at 10. Imrul was responding well with Peter Trego but suddenly addressed himself in the dressing room playing a silly mistake to the wkt keeper. After that Peter Trego & Alok Kapali made a partnership of 105 runs that gave a fighting score of 165 runs. After loosing their 2nd wicket at 52 Alok along with Peter Trego made a remarkable partnership of 105 resulted from a fighting score in the end . Though it could not carry the day in the end.
Chittagong Kings blew out Duronto Rajshahi winning by 53 runs in the second match of day in the same venue. Winning the toss, Chittagong batted first to score total of 206 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. Pakistani young star Nasir Jamshed top scored with 56, captain Mahmudullah 43, Jason Roy 43 and Dwayne Bravo 38. After that Duronto Rajshahi were bundled out for 153 as Junaid Siddique made the highest score of 42. DJ Bravo & Enamul Haque jnr both took 3 wickets respectively which helped Chittagong Kings to win.
