Vice-Chancellor and Senate Members are seen at it’s first Annual Senate Meeting of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University
e-News® | The NEWS Company…NDC, June 17, 2015 : Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University started its journey as the first specialized university in the maritime sector in Bangladesh. On 16 June 2015 the first annual Senate Meeting of the University was held at Sagorika Hall of the Bangladesh Navy Headquarters, Dhaka. The Meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Senate and Vice-Chancellor of the University Rear Admiral A S M Abdul Baten, (E), BSP ndc, psc. Senate members and other officials of the University were present in the Meeting. Various activities taken by the University from its inception were informed and a number of proposals recommended by the Syndicate were approved in the Meeting. At the end of the Meeting, the Senate members expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the activities of the University and hope that the University will remain as the beacon of maritime education in the country. It is to be motioned here that two masters programs namely LLM Maritime Law and Master in Port & Shipping Management will be commenced in the University from September in this year.
