Abdullah Al Jahid, the 16 year old Bangladeshi freelancer who was awarded during last BASIS SoftExpo2011 as one of the BASIS Freelancer of the year, has been featured in international Aljazeera news channel very recently. There was a special two and half minutes news report titled Bangladesh Economy: Cashing in on Outsourcing Ventures showed the interview of Abdullah Jahid and BASIS President Mahboob Zaman. The report showed how, despite infrastructural and other challenges, Bangladesh, mainly leveraging the youth power and enthusiastic entrepreneurs, are slowly emerging as an outsourcing destination for the developed countries of the world.
