Country’s three maritime ports have been asked to hoist cautionary signal number three as the low over the north Bay and adjoining area intensified into a well marked low over the same area.
It is likely to intensify further, said a Met office bulletin Tuesday.
Under its influence, deep convection is taking place over the north Bay.
Steep pressure gradient lies over the north Bay. Squally weather may affect north Bay and the maritime ports and adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh.
Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number three.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the north Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further.
