e-News® | The NEWS Company…DHAKA, Feb 09, 2016 : Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha this morning administered oath to three newly-appointed judges of the Appellate Division. The three judges are Justice Mirza Hussain Haider, Justice Md. Nizamul Huq and Justice Mohammad Bazlur Rahman. They took oath at the Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court in presence of the judges from the High Court and Appellate Division.
Yesterday, the government issued a gazette notification, citing that the honorable President made the appointment as per Article 95 (1) of the constitution. Of these, Justice Haider Obtained LL.B. (Hons) and LL.M from the University of Dhaka. He enrolled as an advocate of the District Court, the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court in 1979, 1981 and 1999 respectively. Justice Haider was elevated as Additional Judge of the High Court Division on July 3, 2001, and appointed as Judge of the same division on July 3, 2003.
The former chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1, Justice Md. Nizamul Huq obtained B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc. and LL.B. He enrolled as an advocate of the District Court, the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court in 1977, 1979 and 1999 respectively. He was elevated as Additional Judge of the High Court Division on July 3, 2001, and appointed Judge of the same division on March 25, 2009. Justice Mohammad Bazlur Rahman Obtained B. Jur (Hons), M. Jur. and M.A from the Rajshahi University. He was enrolled as an advocate of the District Court and the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court in 1984 and 1987 respectively.
He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court Division on July 3, 2001, and appointed as Judge of the same Division on May 10, 2009.
